The recent delays and cancellations of nearly 3,100 American Airlines (AA) flights, due to forced wiring inspection, reminded 250,000 passengers how fragile it can be to depend on commercial airlines. Needless to say that time, safety, and cost are all interconnected. So what else did American Airlines delay? Well, despite the wave of cancellations, record gas prices, and other safety issues, Americans don't seem to call off their plans completely; however, they seem to delay them.
